Hob Moor Road Primary – Newsletter – Autumn 2 – 2019

Dear Parent/Carers,

The Autumn term has come to an end and we are so proud of All of our children for what they have achieved. We have had so many exciting things happening which we will share with you in this edition of ‘Our Newsletter’.

As always we are always grateful for your support and for ensuring your children get to school on time every day. School doors open at 8:25am on Tuesday 7th January.  We are beginning our new attendance drive across school. Please remember that the bell, for start of school, rings at 8:40am and at 8:42am the gates will be closed. If your child arrives after 8:42am they will be entered as late on the register. Let’s continue to work together to ensure all of our children are punctual.

Over the last few weeks, we have met with class teachers to discuss the progress of our pupils and we are heartened about how well our pupils have achieved. The meetings were also an opportunity for teachers to plan the next steps pupils in their classes.  Some of these steps will include the tailored homework your child receives.  Please continue to support us by ensuring your child is doing their homework and let the class teacher know if they need any support.  As always, we have some really exciting learning and activities planned for the spring term.

Many of you are aware that Mrs Dosanjh will be leaving Starbank at the end of this term.  Our best wishes and gratitude go to Mrs Dosanjh for her dedication and loyalty to the school over the past 13 years.  It has been fantastic working with her and we wish her every happiness in her future endeavours!

Please enjoy the break and for all our families who celebrate Christmas, we wish you a very merry Christmas and a happy new year!
