Religious Education (Primary)
Religious Education (Primary)

At Starbank, we recognise and understand the importance RE has on developing an individual’s knowledge and understanding of the religions and beliefs which form part of modern society. We follow the Birmingham SACRE and promote RE within the school with the purpose to provide all pupils with the opportunity to explore different religious places, artefacts and the chance to talk to people of different faiths in order to help provide an insight into different religious beliefs.
Our aim is for all pupils to understand the importance of people’s views and appreciate the diversity within the community. The planned units provide our pupils with opportunities to develop their knowledge and understanding of religion while contributing to their spiritual, moral, social and cultural development. The themes encourage pupils to develop their curiosity, their ability to question and reason as well as, promoting shared values.
