Secondary Letter: e-cigs

Dear Parents/Guardians/Carers,

It has come to my attention that there are a small number of students who are illegally purchasing Geek Bars. This is an e-cigarette brand known for its disposable vape devices. The Geek Bars are illegal. They can be difficult to identify as they look very similar to highlighter pens.

I am making you aware of this and I am asking you to speak to your child advising them that they should not be purchasing these items. I will also be speaking to our local police officer. Pupils who are found in possession of Geek Bars or any other illegal substances or items will be punished with the appropriate sanction. This may be a fixed term exclusion or in more extreme cases a permanent exclusion.
