This academic year has been a difficult and at times an intensive journey. We began the year with the target to provide you all with as much support as we could so that you arrived at this moment ready for your final challenge.
I am exceptionally proud of your efforts and commitment so far. You have worked and dedicated so much of your time to get to this stage. I believe that you are ready for the weeks ahead.
On Monday 16th May, you will begin your final stage of secondary education with the start of your GCSE examinations. On behalf of all your teachers, I want to wish each one of you the very best as you complete your exams over the next few weeks. We are fully aware of the anxiety that you will feel. We are here to support you all to make sure that you are as prepared as you can be. I want you to continue to spend extra time in school and dedicate yourself to more study and practice at home. I also want you to look after yourself and each other. This means that you need to eat well, do things that you enjoy and make you happy and finally sleep, as these are also vital in preparing for each day and each exam.
All I can ask of you is to be the very best version of yourself every day and to do the very best in each exam. I want you all to be successful. Whatever grades you achieve, I and all your teachers will be proud of you. We all know the efforts that you have put in.
Believe and you will achieve.
I and all the staff are looking forward to seeing you all at the Class of 2022 Prom on Friday 17th June at the Botanical Gardens.
We will also have a final celebration event for you on your final day of term on Friday 24th June at 12.30pm in the school main hall. We will share more details with you in due course.
Good luck! We are here for you and will be thinking of you every day over the next few weeks.
